Teater's Knoll Visit, FLW 150 Celebration and PI's Inaugural Gala

Picture this: you looking over the Snake River in the late afternoon on the lush swath of grass bordering a truly unique piece of architecture that few preservationists and even Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts have been able to visit in person.

The sun is setting, you have a beautiful glass of wine in your hand, you are surrounded by new friends you’ve met on your hour plus long bus ride from Boise. Henry Whiting, the owner and steward of the Archie Teater Studio will show you around his home which he has carefully, and thoughtfully stabilized and rehabilitated. He will describe what urged him to purchase the vacant building in the late 1980’s. You sing happy birthday to America’s most renowned Architect, on what would have been his 150th birthday. (He was actually born June 8, but we’re close.)

This vision could be yours! Preservation Idaho, Idaho Modern and Mr. Whiting have worked together to present you with this opportunity. Our Inaugural Gala to raise funds to expand Preservation Idaho’s mission of preserving Idaho's historic places through collaboration, education, and advocacy.

There will be two opportunities for small groups to tour and spend time at Teater’s Knoll. A luxury motorcoach will depart from Boise and transport attendees to Bliss, where participants from outside the Treasure Valley will also have the opportunity to board. Due to the nature of the site all participants must arrive and depart on the transportation provided by Preservation Idaho.
